Welcome to the Weird Wonder that is the World of Willow Andreasson...
... on this afternoon's show:
The first hour will focus on the day's world news and geek headlines;
The second hour heralds the opening of the doors to the cosy nook that is Willow's Poetry Corner: the Poetry Corner continues its unnerving journey through a future Britain - a dystopian Britain scarred by anarchy, poverty and paranoia - in which all is not as it seems; The Professor's reunion with his former Russian nemesis, Gurov, reaches a plateau of much-needed forgiveness - and the two men realise they must work together to defeat the parasitic entity - in tonight's haunting third (and final) instalment of the thirteenth chapter of Nigel Kneale's unsettling 1979 opus, 'Quatermass';
The remainder of the show sees a trip to Willow's Earth Sciences Laboratory: We look at an article that suggests geothermal plant activity was responsible for the recent 'quake in South Korea; we also explore a couple of articles concerning geomagnetic events and 'jerks'; which volcanic eruption covered the Mediterranean with ash 29,000 years ago?; finally, are oceanic winds and waves greater in height than they were 33 years ago...?;
The comfy cushions are scattered liberally across the deep-pile hearth rugs... the sweet scent of sandalwood serenades the senses as the warm summer breeze gently kisses the skin as it whispers through the open window... the teas and coffees are freshly brewing... and I welcome you into my humble yet peaceful abode.
