Welcome to the Weird Wonder that is the World of Willow Andreasson...
... on this afternoon's show:
The first hour will focus on the day's world news and geek headlines;
The second hour heralds the opening of the doors to the cosy nook that is Willow's Poetry Corner: the Poetry Corner continues its unnerving journey through a future Britain - a dystopian Britain scarred by anarchy, poverty and paranoia - in which all is not as it seems; The chilling sadism of Kickalong rears its ugly head while The Professor finds refuge in the laboratories of an abandoned Central London school... meanwhile, not far away, the Badders and the Blues are at war in tonight's haunting second instalment of the twelfth chapter of Nigel Kneale's unsettling 1979 opus, 'Quatermass';
We then don our Wellington Boots, slip on a warm jacket and tiptoe across the cool lawns to Willow's Observatory: tonight, we train the telescope on our Solar System's dust. We also discover that Mercury is (possibly) Earth's closest neighbour, and explore the X-Rays that are being vented from massive 'chimneys' from the Milky Way's core;
The comfy cushions are scattered liberally across the deep-pile hearth rugs... the sweet scent of sandalwood serenades the senses as the warm spring breeze kisses the skin as it whispers through the open window... the teas and coffees are freshly brewing... and I welcome you into my humble yet peaceful abode.
