Welcome to the Weird Wonder that is the World of Willow Andreasson...
... on this afternoon's show:
The first hour will focus on the day's world news and geek headlines;
The second hour heralds the opening of the doors to the sultry snuggery that is Willow's Poetry Corner: the Poetry Corner continues its unnerving journey through a future Britain - a dystopian Britain scarred by anarchy, poverty and paranoia - in which all is not as it seems; District Commissioner Annie Morgan manages to find a hospital for little Isabel while Professor Quatermass struggles to find a way to reach them, in tonight's second instalment of the ninth chapter of Nigel Kneale's unsettling 1979 opus, 'Quatermass';
The remainder of the show sees a trip to Willow's Earth Sciences Laboratory: 1. Animal behaviour experts have long maintained that dogs are able to 'warn' about seismic phenomena in advance of their occurrence - is the Science world finally catching up with this fact? 2. Chinese researchers have extracted rock from beneath the East Antarctic Ice - the first such extraction in 60 years. 3. Has South Korea acknowledged that one of its geothermal plans caused a destructive earthquake? 4. Yes... lightning does strike twice - and this is why...;
The comfy cushions are scattered liberally across the deep-pile hearth rugs... the sweet scent of sandalwood serenades the senses as the logs on the open fire warms the cool evening spring breeze... the teas and coffees are freshly brewing... and I welcome you into my humble yet peaceful abode.
