Welcome to the Weird Wonder that is the World of Willow Andreasson...
... on this afternoon's (sort of) August Bank Holiday special:
The first hour focusses on the day's news headlines, both Global and Gallifreyan in nature;
The second hour heralds the opening of the doors to the sultry snuggery that is Willow's Poetry Corner: we continue our new journey through the wintry world of post-war England for a love story with a difference: young newlywed Isabel is finding life cold and lonely in the Yorkshire village of Kirby - a search for extra warmth in the gloom of her new home leads her to a fascinating find in today's second instalment of Helen Dunmore's evocative 2012 marvel, 'The Greatcoat';
The remainder of the show focuses on the often invisible symptoms of Multiple Sclerosis, with the ensuing complications that arise from misunderstanding of the condition;
The comfy cushions are scattered liberally across the deep-pile hearth rugs... the soft summer breeze, hued with hints of honeysuckle, whispers warmly through the open window... the teas and coffees, freshly brewing... as I welcome you into my humble yet peaceful abode.
