Welcome to the Weird Wonder that is the World of Willow Andreasson...
... on this afternoon's show:
The first hour focusses on the day's news headlines, both Global and Gallifreyan in nature;
The second hour heralds an extended opening of the doors to the sultry snuggery that is Willow's Poetry Corner: we commence a new journey into the wintry world of post-war England for a love story with a difference: a young couple - a doctor, Philip, and his wife, Isabel - settle into a remote village after his placement in the village's practice in today's first instalments of Helen Dunmore's evocative 2012 marvel, 'The Greatcoat';
If time allows, we will tiptoe across the twilight-kissed lawn for a spot of sky-watching in Willow's Observatory for an article I didn't have time to cover on Monday: the telescope trains its viewfinder on the source of a cosmic neutrino;
The comfy cushions are scattered liberally across the deep-pile hearth rugs... the soft summer breeze, hued with hints of honeysuckle, whispers warmly through the open window... the teas and coffees, freshly brewing... as I welcome you into my humble yet peaceful abode.
